Zeppelin
The beauty of sound.
Launched in 2007 as an iPod dock, the original Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin combined great sound with great looks. It became a hit at Bay Bloor Radio, and around the world.
Now Zeppelin is back, reimagined for the streaming age. It’s now both smarter and more flexible, while its high-fidelity sound is more beautiful, insightful, and dynamic than ever.
Key features found in the previous generation Zeppelin Wireless are still present or upgraded, including AirPlay 2 and aptX Adaptive, alongside Spotify Connect. Plus, it includes integrated Alexa voice control and streaming service support for a range of providers, all accessed by the Bowers & Wilkins Music App.
With the new Zeppelin, you no longer have to choose between a fully-featured wireless speaker with the streaming services you love and a sleek, sophisticated design with the room filling sound you want. Now, you can have both.
Engineered for Performance
Every generation of Zeppelin has drawn on Bowers & Wilkins unrivaled expertise in premium loudspeaker design to be the best sounding system of its era. The new Zeppelin combines proven drive unit technology with a new high-resolution streaming platform to be the best yet, with exceptional musical performance from a wirelessly connected source or streaming service.
Form Follows Function
Like all Bowers & Wilkins products, the design of the new Zeppelin is defined by its acoustics. The driver placement creates the beautiful and instantly recognizable form that has been its signature for over 15 years. A choice of midnight or pearl grey finish accentuates this shape, along with switchable, dimmable ambient lighting that creates a halo effect on Zeppelin’s metal pedestal stand. An optional wall bracket is available separately.
Proprietary Drive Units
Five premium drive units share proprietary Bowers & Wilkins technology as found in conventional hi-fi loudspeakers, including the 25mm Double Dome tweeter from the 600 Series, and the Fixed Suspension Transducer (FST) midrange technology from B&W’s floor-standing models. The drivers are arranged in dedicated left and right speaker assemblies around a central subwoofer, all powered by 240W of amplification. The result is room-filling stereo sound from a single box.
High Resolution Sound
Utilizing advances in processing power, Zeppelin incorporates advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) combined with a powerful 24-bit capable Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC) for the best performance with your music.
The Music You Love, Instantly
Whenever you’re ready to listen, the Zeppelin has you covered. If you want to stream from your smartphone, tablet, or computer, there’s both Apple AirPlay 2 and aptX Adaptive Bluetooth, making Zeppelin suitable for both iOS and Android users.
Spotify fans can also enjoy the convenience of Spotify Connect, ensuring both high-quality sound and convenient, easy operation.
Plus, for the first time, the new Zeppelin can be controlled via the Bowers & Wilkins Music App, which gives instant access to a host of streaming services including TIDAL, TuneIn, and SoundCloud.
Smart Control
Zeppelin can be controlled using the physical buttons on the top rear of its elegant enclosure.
For the first time, you can also go hands-free with Alexa voice control. No need for external components – proceed through Alexa setup, then with select streaming services, simply ask for the song you want to hear and Zeppelin will oblige.
Zeppelin has a powerful digital “brain” that will allow for new upgrades and features over time, including multi-room capability planned for introduction in 2022.
