6mm f-Core DU Dynamic Driver

A5000 is a step up in transparent sound, with its far-reaching bass, smooth midrange, and detailed yet controlled treble. The listening experience is immersive thanks to its wide and deep soundstage, while remaining comfortable and non-fatiguing for long-term listening.

In order to achieve this sound, Final developed the 6mmφ f-Core DU dynamic driver unit from scratch with the latest psychoacoustic research in mind, inspired by the flagship Final A8000. They designed not only parts for the driver unit — the diaphragm, voice coil, magnet, magnetic circuits, adhesives — but also the production machinery used in the manufacturing process. For the driver front housing, instead of the typical aluminum, they used brass, a material that is both highly resistant to the effects of magnetism and also boasts a high specific gravity. In order to increase the time response characteristic of the diaphragm, the voice coil employs a 30μ ultrathin CCAW, and minimal adhesive is used for assembly to thoroughly lighten the moving parts, improving listening comfort and reducing distortion.

Ergonomic fit with Premium “Shibo” Finish

Final A5000 is a lightweight earphone, carefully sculpted to fit many ears. Like a professional custom in-ear monitor used by musicians on stage, it is designed to be worn with the cable hung over the ear, minimizing cable noise and allowing a more secure insertion. By limiting the area that comes in contact with the ear, this product aims to limit discomfort over time by minimizing points of contact. Each earphone features a black Shibo finish. Shibo is an old Japanese word meaning a wrinkle on the surface of paper or leather. This inspired the soft-textured coating of the A5000, a beautiful surface that is superb at resisting dirt and fingerprints while sporting a subtle yet premium textured look that is reminiscent of a classic camera.

Detachable silver-coated soft braided cable

The removable cable is newly developed for the A5000 — a ergonomic and acoustic delight. 8-core silver-coated OFC wire is carefully woven into it, making it soft and easy to handle. The 2-Pin connector is a high-precision product developed in-house and uses the universal φ0.78mm 2-pin standard, allowing for replacement or upgrades in the future, extending the life of your earphones.

Five sizes of interchangeable ear tips

The
award-winning ear tips for the Final A5000 have been designed from soft
silicone for superior comfort and noise isolation. These come in 5
sizes — SS/S/M/L/LL — to ensure a perfect fit that transmits sound directly to the eardrum.
Two types of silicon differing in rigidity are employed for the sound
conduit and for the earbud that comes into contact with the user’s ear.
The silicon used for the sound conduit is more rigid, and has grooves,
increasing both strength and flexibility. The inner bore is colour coded, allowing quick but subtle identification of the Left (black) and Right (red) earphones.

Ear hooks

A5000 comes bundled with premium quality ear hooks. Use these optional silicone hooks — then thread the cable up and over your ear — for an even more secure fit should you like.
