In R410 we’ve painstakingly tuned the reflex enclosures to house our new NS+ bass-mid units and combined with the tweeters from our award-winning MR1 speakers, the result is effortless performance that belies R410’s size and all-in-one design. Versatile Hi-Res Connectivity

At the heart of R410 lies a powerful processor, capable of supporting the highest quality music files. Spotify and TIDAL Connect are built-in, but if you like your music home-based, then R410’s media player will allow you to quickly browse and stream music from other devices on your network.

Moreover, through R410’s inputs, it’s easy to connect a turntable or play CDs by connecting a CD-ROM drive to the USB input. Additionally, with its HDMI ARC/eARC connectivity, R410 makes a convenient sound system for TVs and a complete solution for all your entertainment needs.

Apple AirPlay and Chromecast built-in

From LPs in the 50s, to CDs in the 80s, to MP3s in the noughties, it’s clear that the way we listen to music has evolved. With R410, you can still connect and enjoy a turntable or CD drive, but primarily R410 has been designed for streaming and making the most of the amazing music services available online.

With Apple AirPlay and Chromecast built-in, you can stream directly to R410 from your favourite apps such as Apple Music, Amazon Music, Qobuz. You can also easily create a multi-room system, linking R410 with other AirPlay and Chromecast speakers. All 100 Series models will have this interoperability too.

Beautiful to Control

Our RotoDial control system has been a distinctive part of Ruark products since the introduction of our R1 in 2006, but for 100 Series we have refined its design from top to bottom. 

Also
included with R410 is a matching rechargeable remote. Bluetooth
connectivity means that aiming is not required – and like a quality
watch, it’s an item that you will love to use, as it looks and feels so
good.

Beautiful to See

R410’s advanced processor has allowed us to provide a slick user interface, handling input from apps and our control system and promptly displaying the interaction on R410’s colour high-resolution display.

The portrait orientation of the display intentionally emulates the way that we view most services on our smartphones, making R410 intuitive to use… but most importantly, the display brings an interactive element to R410 that few other systems offer. 

Comprehensive Connectivity

Apple AirPlay

AirPlay is a proprietary wireless technology developed by Apple Inc. that lets you stream music directly over Wi-Fi to R410 from iOS apps such as Apple Music, Qobuz, Amazon Music, and many more in high-resolution sound quality.

Chromecast built-in

Chromecast built-in is a wireless technology developed by Google. It is primarily used in Android devices but also works with many iOS apps. With Chromecast built-in you can stream music directly over Wi-Fi to R410 from apps such as Amazon Music, Qobuz, and YouTube in high-resolution sound quality.

Spotify Connect

The world’s most popular streaming service is perfectly integrated with R410. Spotify Connect technology allows you to stream music over Wi-Fi to R410. Unlike Bluetooth, it does not drain battery power, because the Connect service pushes music directly from the Spotify cloud to R410 rather than playing through your device. This means that you can take calls and messages without interruption or even switch off your device completely, as it simply acts as a remote.

Tidal Connect

TIDAL Connect is a high-resolution music streaming service that allows you to stream music over Wi-Fi to R410. Unlike Bluetooth, it does not drain battery power, because the TIDAL Connect service pushes music directly from the TIDAL cloud to R410 rather than playing through your device. This means that you can take calls and messages without interruption or even switch off your device completely, as it simply acts as a remote.

Apple Music

Apple Music is Apple’s own music streaming service. Subscribe to Apple Music and you have access to over 100 million songs which you can stream wirelessly to R410 using Apple AirPlay from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Amazon Music

If you are an Amazon Music user you can browse and control your playback and adjust volume directly from within the Amazon Music app to our R410 using either Apple AirPlay or Chromecast built-in.

Qobuz

If you are a Qobuz user you can browse and control your playback and adjust volume directly from within the Qobuz app to R410 using either Apple AirPlay or Chromecast built-in, with both providing a high level of sound quality.

Internet radio

The choice of Internet radio stations is vast and in general, the sound quality is far better than that of AM or FM. Have fun browsing local, national, and international stations, then save your favourites as presets for easy access using 100 Series’ intuitive RotoDial controller or remote — no smartphone app required.

FM radio

FM radio is still a great way to listen to radio, with a natural analogue warmth. However, reception can often be an issue nowadays — particularly in bigger cities where there is much interference — so the Internet radio feature provides a great way to access local FM stations in higher quality when an Internet connection is available.

Bluetooth

With a high-quality aptX Bluetooth receiver built-in, you can wirelessly stream music from your smartphone or computer to R410 without the need for a Wi-Fi connection. R410 remembers up to eight previously connected devices, making it easy to switch and connect as required. Ideal in a busy family environment.

Wi-Fi

R410 is 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz compatible so it will wirelessly connect and communicate with the latest dual-band home Wi-Fi routers.

Ethernet

The ethernet connector on the rear of R410 allows you to create a hardwired connection to your home network, enabling optimum performance and stability when weak Wi-Fi strength and conflicts are an issue.

HDMI

With HDMI ARC/eARC connectivity, R410 makes a superb sound system for TVs and a complete solution for your entertainment needs. When paired with compatible televisions, HDMI CEC technology allows you to use your TV remote to adjust volume as well as turn R410 on or off.

Optical input

The switchable optical input allows you to easily connect devices such as CD players or external streamers with optical outputs for optimum sound quality.

Phono Input

R410 features two sets of switchable RCA connectors. The Phono-In input is a dedicated turntable input which has RIAA phono gain stage built-in allowing a turntable with a moving magnet cartridge to be directly connected, without the need for a separate preamplifier. The Line-In input allows you to connect a variety of auxiliary devices with line-level outputs such as a standard CD player or gaming console.

CD via USB

Playing CDs is easy, simply by connecting a USB CD drive to the USB-C socket on the rear of R410. When connected, CD is automatically added to the list of sources. Then, using the RotoDial controller, you can control CD playback just as you would a built-in player, with functions such as play/pause, skip, shuffle and repeat all available.

Multiroom

With Apple AirPlay and Chromecast built-in, you can easily create an easy-to-manage multi-room system, linking R410 and R810 together or with other AirPlay and Chromecast compatible speakers.

Wireless updates

Wireless updates mean that we can provide updates to R410 if required to ensure they are always working as they should.

UPnP Streamer

Rip your CDs and store your downloaded music onto a PC, Mac, or network-attached storage device to create your own hi-res music library and then browse and stream to R410 as you desire.
